The engineer Arno Traut used his vacation to build and install a drinking water filter in Asha Vihar. Arno had previously organized the “Paul” water filter through a donation from the Lions Club in Oldenburg. On site, a concept had to be worked out that could take all the needs into account. The filter had to be installed so centrally that all patients and staff can be supplied with good drinking water in the future. A space-saving and inexpensive construction concept also had to be worked out. With the team selected by Arno, the new “filter tower” was then built in just two weeks.
Now, thanks to Arno and the Lions Club Oldenburg, 400 liters of water can be filtered into high-quality drinking water every day, and around 200 people in Asha Vihar can also access it without having to walk long distances.
Asha Vihar says thank you!
