We are especially happy about the great support of the volunteers who came to Asha Vihar in early January. Birgit Suelmann (doctor), Peter Buchholz (firefighter) and Rieke Flögel (physiotherapist). We thank you for your great commitment.

Here is some information about their missions:

Dr. Birgit Suelmann was in Asha Vihar for 4 weeks and assisted the surgical team in the surgical interventions, as well as in post-operative follow-up. She worked tirelessly and took care of many patients inside and outside of Asha Vihar.

Dr. Birgit Suelman represented her Indian colleague Sahoo during his absence.

Also in the satellite stations Asha Vihars there are many patients to treat.

Peter Buchholz is a firefighter from Bremen and will remain in Asha Vihar until the end of February. He reviews the firefighting safety and will work out a safety training and evacuation plan with our staff. He also works hard in the maintenance area.

Peter Buchholz conveys his expertise in metal construction to our employees.

Rieke Flögel, a physiotherapist from Hamburg, trained and advised the Indian physiotherapist team for one week. Through her suggestions, we can significantly improve the treatment of our patients.
